Stained concrete and other boring house stuff

Our concrete was stained last week, but it still hasn’t been sealed yet.  They put cardboard down over it to protect while other work is completed.  It’s darker than I thought, but the builder says it will lighten up a bit.  I’m sure it will be fine.
It is a color called vintage umber.

Here are some other choices so far:

colors

Most of the walls will be Sherwin Williams Latte.  All of the trim, doors, etc. will be SW Biscuit.  The kitchen/dining room will be SW Hardware.  It reads a little green.

The cabinets are raised panel maple and will be stained a finish called praline.  I’m toying with doing the island a different color, black, red, gray, green, but I can’t decide, so it will probably be the same as all the other cabinets.  The back splash will be primarily tumbled marble, but I may do some bead board on the bar.

All of the counter tops, kitchen, bath, laundry, etc. will be Santa Cecilia granite.

All of the faucets, hardware, door knobs, etc. will be oil rubbed bronze.  And we will be doing under mounted sinks throughout.

Kennedy’s room will be  S.W. Blue Cruise.  It’s similar to her room in Edmond.  She wanted a kind of aqua/blue (really bright), but we compromised.  This blue was her second choice.

The carpet is a frieze carpet manufactured by Lonesome Oak.  Its color name is cracked wheat.  I don’t think the color swatch does it justice, but I think it will hide dirt really well.

We are meeting with the tile person tomorrow to finalize the tile for the master bath and backsplash.  Yesterday, we picked up this little gem for over the kitchen island:

And this one for the foyer:

And lastly, we saw these at Lowe’s and really think they are cute.  Walt wants them to flank the garage door.  What do you think?
