A Cynic?
Observations from Kennedy:
After watching a Skechers commercial, she said, “They just keep coming out with new shoes so you’ll buy more and spend more money.”
And when one of those third-world, sponsor-a-child commercials came on, she said, “They just try to make their commercials sad so that you feel bad and send them more money.”
I took that opportunity to let K. know that we DO help people; we give money every Sunday at church and to various other organizations. She didn’t seem overly impressed.
