I Know, Right?

This expression is said in American schools thousands of times each day.  Ricky and I were just talking about this at Thanksgiving.  It is way overused, but the kids still think they are being clever every time they say it.

I’m just waiting for Kennedy to pop off with it.  She hangs out with the high school cheerleaders after school while I work, so she often picks up their speech patterns.  Like today, for example, she was getting a banana from the bunch and she broke off three instead of one.  She pointed at them and said, “EPIC FAIL!!!”  She’s too funny!

Epic Fail? Only my nerdiest of nerdy students say that! Pretty soon she’ll start in with people being “pwned”.

Maybe it’s cooler with the 7 year old set.
